Eddie Ross
Candidate for Town Council
My wife, Devi, and I moved to Jamestown in 2018 so our two sons, Teddy and Ravi, could attend Jamestown public schools and experience all that Jamestown has to offer. I grew up in Pawtucket raised by educators and a police officer. I began working when I was 14 at a meat market and I was fortunate to grow up in a family that valued hard work and education. Jamestown is an amazing and welcoming community, and I feel a deep obligation to get involved and help our great town. That is why I am running for Town Council.
Since our move, Jamestown has dealt with a global pandemic and experienced a massive housing boom. We managed quite well given the circumstances, but Jamestown has important issues that we need to consider as time goes on. How do we fund the town to ensure we are meeting the needs of residents? How does our education system evolve given demographic trends? What actions can we take to make Jamestown more affordable for working families? How do we engage the State of RI to fix key roads and infrastructure? These are just some of the important questions I look forward to addressing as a member of Town Council if elected.
