Kirstin Reveron

Kirstin Reveron
Candidate for Town Council

Over 22 years in Jamestown, my family and I have benefited in countless ways by participating in our community. When our children were small, I became active in the schools as a PTO member. I co-chaired Island Treasures for 5 years and served on the Jamestown Education Foundation board. I worked to find ways for people to connect, build community, and develop solutions. Currently, I’m working with a residents’ advocacy group that is focused on protecting the air and water quality of Narragansett Bay’s West Passage.

My professional background is teaching rhetoric and writing, at both DePaul University and the US Naval Academy. I’m deeply interested in civics and public systems, and I would like to bring my energy to help navigate the issues our town faces. How will we solve the constraints of a limited water supply? How will we make sure the people who grew up in Jamestown and work in Jamestown can afford to live here? How can we best protect our natural resources -the beaches, trails, and open spaces – while also making them accessible for everyone to enjoy? I am ready and eager to work with our community to find solutions for these challenges and more.
