School Committee

I’ve been honored to serve our community on the Jamestown School Committee these past four years. I have spent my career working in urban schools and in urban education policy, first as a NYC public school teacher and, more recently, in financial and organizational management at several Providence area charter schools. My experience will be valuable as I seek to provide input on the direction and budget priorities of our schools during a second term.  

Our schools are rightfully celebrated for excellent teaching, clear-eyed leadership, robust programs, and strong outcomes. As we move forward, I will continue to advocate for expanded programming, especially in foreign language, arts, and science. I will advocate for further investment and long-term planning in our school facilities, with a focus on green infrastructure. And I will support parent communication regarding school plans, expectations, and outcomes
