Join a nationwide mass mobilization to fight for our schools, the VA, healthcare, libraries, seniors, jobs and more!
Hope HS is the starting point for our action. We are not holding a typical rally at the Statehouse – that has been done before and this is a different type of event.
Public schools are under attack. Hands Off. Universities are under attack. Hands Off. RIPTA, medicaid, hospitals, infrastructure – all under attack. HANDS OFF.
This is a mobilization, i.e. moving from one place to another in solidarity. We will be moving from Hope HS and ending at Burnside Park/Kennedy Plaza/RIPTA. The walk is about 1.2 miles on relatively flat ground. We have folks who have already reached out saying they’ll be there in a wheelchair if they have to. Do what works for you.
If you are unable to march with us, please consider meeting us at the destination where we will be holding a short speaking program. Our federal delegation has been invited to march with us and has been receptive to the idea. As always, state legislators will be joining the cause and standing shoulder to shoulder with us.
