I registered as a Democrat and voted in my first Presidential election in 1980 for Jimmy Carter. As Vice-President for Action at the National Organization for Women in Washington D.C., I helped organize and mobilize actions for Reproductive Freedom and Anti-War protests and knocked on doors to elect progressive women in races across the country.
Today, I am focused on bringing together an even stronger Committee of active Democrats who are organized and ready to mobilize against the gutting of services and protections for school children and teachers, veteran’s care, folks on Social Security and Medicare and those who rely on Medicaid, women’s right to make their own health care choices and DIVERSITY, EQUITY and INCLUSION! We look forward to electing the most qualified candidates at every level of government.
I am proud to be a Democrat, and I look forward to working with anyone and everyone – there is place for you in this movement and moment.
